Duo

Our performances have been scarce since the onset of COVID-19. Venues have closed, entertainment budgets are gone, and people just don’t go out like before. Some gigs have come thru though and we’ve been able to explore sound in a duo format. Layers of sound, and interesting musical movement, is hard enough with a trio. Break that down even more to a duo, and there’s a lot of sonic ground that needs to be covered. Luckily, Fred and I have over a decade’s worth of experience building a language and vocabulary together that can really convey what we try do as musicians. In 2021, we played in a park and had a listener come up to us afterwards and say that the music made her feel like light was coming out of her body. A few weeks ago, we were playing inside Signia in San Jose. Another listener stopped me afterwards to explain how she had never heard music like that before and that what we played brought her peace. We know what we do, we’ve done it for a long time. What we don’t know is what it can do for those listening. We appreciate the opportunity, and will continue to bring you the light and peace that others have heard and experienced in the music.
